On October 3, all Koreans celebrate my wedding anniversary. Well, not really, it is actual Foundation Day, which is about Tangun, explained really briefly by Life in Korea:
According to legend, the god-king Tan-gun founded the Choson Kingdom in 2333 B.C. This day fills citizens with nationalistic pride over the 4,000+ year history of Korea.Our wedding was October 3 because it was a holiday. But that also meant that attendance was... well… a lot more than anticipated (as seen by the final bill for the reception). It rained on my wedding day, but only briefly. One of the many guests commented that it was Korea crying for the loss of another daughter.
